As my very first blog entry, I thought I'd share our trip to Brownwood.
I wanted to give y'all a breif report on the weekend...(I'll try to make it breif anyway) So many blessings! God provided in every possible way, as usual, but this time there was even more: After a four-hour Saturday morning drive, we arrived in Brownwood at the "Worship Center " Pentecostal church around 10am. This would be the next to the last day of their Camp Meeting week. There we sang, prayed, praised and worshiped and then ate some brisket. Then later in the evening we sang and praised and prayed some more. The preachers were a little louder than I am used to, but quite motivating. Some parts of the service were a little "charismatic" for us "Baptists" =) but wow, we were so uplifted (and pretty worn out in the flesh) from all the praise and worship and it was such a sweet Spirit-filled day that really ministered to us both. The people were so warm and friendly and sincere and they were definitely focused on loving and honoring Jesus. Many people came to the altar for prayer and some were saved and others healed. It was really touching. I felt for the most part of the day that Jesus was holidng me in His arms. Very comforting. In the evening service, they annointed and prayed over us and one of the preachers prophesied over us and said that our ministry was about to explode to new and more venues and for us to get ready. We recieve that! Randy got healed of this allergies after having been so afflicted all month (and it was the worst right as we left to go up there)... but after sat nite he didnt need any medicine at all on Sunday and since we got back home he has just been taking meds for his sinuses. I am praying he won't have any more bouts with allergies at all, in Jesus' name. One of the amazing things was that we only sang two songs that day, but had over 100.00 given in exchange for CD's in love offerings. In addition to that our hotel room for the night was paid for by the camp meeting church (we thought they were getting us a room discount,as it turned out they also paid for it!) ....and that was just on Saturday!! Then Sunday morning we had the whole service at Christ Temple multidenominational church and although they were quiet during the service, afterward everyone said that they really enjoyed our singing and wanted us to come back. They videoed the service and gave us the DVD of it so now we have more footage for our video that we are planning to put together at some point. Then Sunday night we were at Haven of Hope church and we got a little love offering for some CD's there too. Then we met a lady from Branson who wanted to know if she could recommend us to some people she knew out there for us to come sing. We told her; well, of course! There were so many sweet people there. It was such an annointed evening ~~~~ weekend! And in the midst of it all, we had some really sweet Gigi and Randy time. What a blessing it is to have a godly man for a husband. Someone to share the joy of serving Jesus...it is so much fun serving God!!!...and who could count the benefits? Thank you to those of you who pray for us...it is such a blessing and we need your prayers more than anything else in support of our ministry. May God bless you a million- fold for your support, in Jesus' name.Love in Christ, Gigi n Randy - Singin' the Gospel
